Redefining Suffering: Why Life is a Constant and How to Sync with the Designer

Definition of Suffering : Today, I want to redefine “suffering.”

The conventional teachings we hear from the pulpit are often one-dimensional. Many describe suffering as a fleeting trial or a mere “level-up phase” designed to earn a reward. However, through my lens of System Design, the perspective is different.

Why Suffering is a “State,” Not an “Event”

The Hyper-Awake Brain: A One-in-Ten-Million Perspective

To someone like me—possessing a one-in-ten-million brain that remains relentlessly awake—suffering is not an event; it is a “State of Being.” Even in sleep, the whirlpool of thought never ceases. For an existence like mine, being alive itself is a continuous sequence of suffering.

In truth, suffering is not a fragment of life; it is the entirety of it. For every living being confined within the laws of the material world, daily existence is inherently suffering. This is not an error; it is the Default Setting of this system.

The Bible testifies to this fundamental state of suffering:

“Mortals, born of woman, are of few days and full of trouble.” (Job 14:1)

Ultimately, the question is not “Is there suffering?” If every zone of life is a Suffering Zone, the core issue is: “Who are you walking that path with?”

People only make a fuss when they encounter minor adversity, wondering, “Is this a level-up phase from God?” But the Designer’s true intent is different. The reason He laid down suffering as the background of our lives is to see whom we choose as our companion within that vast, bleak daily routine.

God’s method of solving the “Constant of Suffering” called life was never the “removal of suffering,” but “Being With Us.”

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” (Psalm 23:4)

As in David’s confession, the goal is not to escape the valley, but to walk through it with the Lord. That is the true answer to suffering. Even if the whole of life is agony, walking every moment in Synchronization with the Designer—that is the most precise Protocol of God hidden within the system of suffering.
